We Wrote a Book!
One of the best parts about blogging for me is the incredible support I have found in people I don’t even know outside of the online world. My journey through motherhood has not been typical. While new moms were celebrating their kids rolling over and sitting up, I was spiraling into a full blown panic, but everyone – not just special needs moms – offered support and compassion. On some days, this support is what has kept me going.
Long before I met my partner, we were two mom bloggers who somehow found one another in a sea of mom blogs. We would often leave each other thoughtful comments and even occasionally communicated by email.
My partner and I both took down the mom blogs we met each other through in the Spring of 2016, and it was at that point when we found a much deeper connection than we could have ever realized as blogging friends. She is a single mom by choice with an amazing little girl who is just 7 months older than my daughter. Our girls are very different from one another – and not just in neurotypical ways. But, they also have a few things in common. They both like music, chocolate, and are skilled at being stubborn. We have two very strong-willed four-year-olds fully loaded with confidence, natural leadership skills, and lots of love. When they are together it’s anyone’s guess how long they will go without arguing or fighting, but they also can’t get enough of one another.
As the moms of these highly entertaining girls we thought we would try our hand at writing a children’s book featuring our two strong female leads. Our first book entitled “A Day at the Beach” is available now on Amazon and we would be ever grateful if you would check it out, read it to your little ones, and give us a review – preferably 5 stars.
